Certificate of Emancipation of David Lewis State of Maryland, Baltimore County, Set-                                                               
I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern, that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof, David Lewis, aged about Twenty seven years of light complextion, Five feet eight inches high, has an eagle imprinted on the right arm with India Ink, and two scars on his forehead, was born free and raised in the State of Maine.
