Know all men by these presents that I, Robert Mason of the City of Pittsburgh County of
Allegheny and State of Pennaxsylvania have manumitted mancipated and set free and
Do hereby manumit emancexpate and set free July Mason
my wife who has been a slave lebxorging to G. W. Baker of
Winchester Virginia and purchased by me from said Baker
for the sum of six hundard Dollars $600) the last payment of
said sum being made Sept. 1851 Said Julia being a Colerxad
Woman not very Dark and five feet two inches and three
quarter in hixght and 35 years old. In testemony Whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of October A. D. 1851.
